NAVYUG SCHOOL LAXMIBAI NAGAR ECO CLUB

Navyug school, Laxmi bai nagar ECO CLUB helps students understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment. Eco club enables the students to build up knowledge and skills that are necessary to address complex environmental issues. The students think globally and act locally. It is the forum which helps students not only to be sensitive towards preserving their environment but it also makes them feel responsible to spread awareness by reaching out to influence and engage their parents and neighborhood community to promote sound environmental behavior. We at navyug school, Laxmi Bai nagar eco club organize this year various activities, such as tree plantation activities. The green brigade as the students of eco club call themselves participated in tree plantation in order to keep their surroundings clean and green. They also made a vertical garden comprising of all the plants that helps in purifying the air.

1. Class wise(online) competitions were held such as poster making competition, slogan writing competition and painting competition. Eassy writing competition was held on the topics “SAVE WATER”, “WASTE MANAGEMENT” and “SAY NO TO PLASTIC”.
2. Other awareness programs such as Quiz, Nukkad natak were held. Small rallies were taken out while adhering to Covid norms.

Eco club is an integral part of learning of the students of Navyug school, laxmi bai nagar, making students more sensitive environmentally conscious and responsible citizens. Eco club reminds the students to preserve the environment as someone rightly said:

“We do not inherit earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”.

 So it is our duty make this earth a better place to live for the coming generation.
